Program - The Onixlink.com New Media Internship Program will provide students with a unique opportunity to showcase their passion and talents, as they relate to Broadcasting, Journalism and New Media. All projects will aim to enhance the Onixlink.com website, and provide students with hands-on experience in creating, developing and executing journalism projects.

This will be a competitive internship program, where students will have the opportunity to expand their portfolios, as well as implement their own creative ideas within the context of a global online community. Space is limited.

Location- All Internships specified below are a part of our Virtual Internship Program (V.I.P) unless otherwise noted.

Candidates should be available from May 2010 through August 2010 for a Summer internship.

We are now accepting applications for the Summer 2010  
(May-August)

• Course Credit Internships are open to college students only (junior, senior, or graduate level)

• Interns must receive academic credit toward graduation (students are responsible for providing documentation toward receiving academic credit for the internship)

• No financial compensation is available

• Ability to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends is required

• Minimum of 12 weeks is required

• Part-time opportunities are available

• Interns must have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.7

Responsibilities:

 

  • Procurement of new sales leads under the direction of the VP Sales and Marketing
  • Develop partnerships and new business relationships
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses to grow our client base.
  • Generate new business through proactive outbound sales.
  • Maintain relationships by scheduling client visits.Covering key agencies and clients in one of the following regions: North, South, East, West as specified by the VP of Sales and Marketing.
  • Understanding each prospect’s marketing objectives, competitors and how Onixlink.com can help achieve their goals
  • Building, refining and updating a pipeline of prospects
  • Acquiring new clients, growing revenue of existing clients, and owning the customer relationship
  • Effectively managing the pipeline and closing the expected number of deals
  • Meet and exceed specified sales goals

 

You will be assigned a number of agencies in large markets with the purpose of cold calling, prospecting, pitching, negotiating, and closing all revenue opportunities across Onixlink.com

 

Qualifications:

  • Education: BA/BS Degree
  • Overall Experience: 3+ years in online advertising sales
  • Strong Contacts and relationships with top agencies
  • Proven Track Record in over-achieving quarterly and annual quota
  • Excellent communication, writing, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • A leading work ethic and a competitive instinct to win
  • Some travel required
  • 5+  years of field sales experience
  • Solid transactional sales experience
  • Must be willing to travel and cover assigned market territory
  • Must be disciplined and a self-starter
  • Must have good organizational and time management skills
  • Must be responsible for achievement of revenue goals with assigned accounts(within a defined geographical )
  • Business to Business sales
  • Building long-term customer relationships
